The Trench Pointer is a single-operator excavation guidance system — rifle-style sights and a 200-foot green laser replace an entire survey crew.
How it works
Strap to the end of an existing pipe, or stake it into the ground at the start of the trench.
Look through the rifle-style sights and point in your desired trench direction. Simple, instinctive aiming.
Lock the compass plate to hold your direction. Set grade with the included laser level. Your line is set.
The laser projects 200 feet to the trench end wall. The operator follows the Trench Pointer sights from the cab — no flaggers, no rework.
See it in action
One operator. One tool. See exactly how the rifle sights and green laser guide a perfectly straight trench from start to finish.
Features & specs
Same instinctive aiming mechanics as a rifle scope — operators sight in fast, hold zero, and stay dialed in all day.
High-visibility green beam projects your dig line 200 feet to the trench end wall — readable in direct sunlight.
Built-in directional reference lets you set and hold any heading without additional survey equipment or crew.
Eliminates the need for a survey crew or second person on site — any operator can do the whole job, start to finish.
